Two Leaves and a Bud Introduces “Better Being Teas”
ASPEN, COLO. April 7, 2010 — Two leaves and a bud tea company, the Colorado-based purveyor of “A better cuppa’ tea,” is launching three new medicinal teas aimed at helping tea lovers sip their way to a better life. “Better Being Teas” are three herbal blends designed to help tea drinkers wake up peacefully in the morning, improve digestion after a meal, and get a better night’s sleep.
“Medicinal teas are the fastest growing tea segment,” says two leaves owner and founder Richard Rosenfeld. “We really wanted to offer some herbal teas that were both complex and interesting, and address medicinal concerns.”
All three teas are 100 percent caffeine-free, and use a unique mix of ingredients to maximize medicinal benefits. Rosenfeld worked closely with a trusted herbalist for over a year to develop each tea, tasting tens of samples with hundreds of ingredients while trying to establish teas with substantial medicinal properties that also taste good.
“Better Morning Blend” is an energizing combination of lemongrass and peppermint to stimulate the senses, while aromatherapy from lime and lemon flavor help any tea drinker feel fresh. “Better Belly Blend” settles stomachs with ginger and fennel, with calendula and apple pieces to give the tea a rich taste. “Better Rest Blend” is a relaxing combination of typical nighttime tea ingredients like chamomile and peppermint, but also with hops and valerian — two plants with concentrated relaxation effects.
“These three teas represent the most demanded types of medicinal teas. In ‘sleepy,’ ‘wake up’ and ‘belly’ you get something we do every day,” Rosenfeld said.
