Finally, a tea tag solution
So you’ve just torn open the wrapper to a fresh sachet of your favorite two leaves and a bud tea, and plunked that sachet in the bottom of a big mug while waiting for your water to boil. It boils. You reach for the kettle, move your over-eager face back from the mug so the steam doesn’t hit you right in the eyes, and start pouring. 4 top tips to brew a better tea
Here are Two Leaves and a Bud, top four tips to brewing a betta’ cup of tea. But first and foremost, use one of our great organic teas! 1. Water: If you have good drinking water from your faucet, then use it. Otherwise, use bottled water or filtered water. 2. Temperature: in a kettle, bring the cold water to boiling and turn off the heat. Let it sit a few minutes before pouring into the teapot. In the meantime, condition the teapot by putting a small amount of hot water in it, swish it around, and pour it out. This will help prevent the teapot from cracking when the hot water is poured in, and also helps keep the teapot warm. LOVE!! nitedreamer reviewed September 5, 2008 at 4:35 pm I’ve tried two of the two leaves and a bud flavors- the Orange Sencha and the Peppermint. The Orange Sencha was okay, but the peppermint is awesome.†It’s my splurge tea, my “I want a little pampering this morning tea”, my luxury in a cardboard box tea. You can tell it’s quality by your first peek at the tea bags- nylon drawstrings that house whole leaves of tea, not just powder. The tea bags are strong enough to make two big cups (I brew my tea in beer mugs, so I’m guessing I get about the equivalent of 4 cups?). This is pricey tea, but it is well worth it.†One cup, and you won’t want to go back.

Discover Two Leaves and a Bud’s line of Loose Teas
Although we believe that our sachets bring out all of the best in tea, for those of you who are intent on tradition, Two leaves and a bud offers loose leaf tea for the traditional tea drinkers who brew tea in a teapot. Whole leaf tea leaves require space and water circulation in order to swell, unfurl and infuse properly. Our Elephantino teapot is perfect for one cup of tea – it comes with its own infuser! How much tea do I need per cup? It is called a teaspoon for a reason….generally just add one teaspoon of loose tea per 12 – 16 oz. of hot water. In larger teapots, add that much tea plus one for the pot.

They are pyramid shaped to allow the whole leaves to circulate and infuse properly, without the mess of brewing loose leaf tea. Tea sachets also brew up a great glass of iced tea – they don’t fall apart in your glass!
